Where the Wave Began
How the ocean inspired Fluxette Wave 1.0
Before anything else, maybe I should introduce myself first.
I’ve spent years working in the wellness and intimacy industry, and like many women, I’ve also been someone deeply connected to these experiences personally.
But the story of Fluxette didn’t begin in an office.
It began in the ocean.
I still remember that morning clearly.
The sunlight was soft, the air felt warm, and after finishing my coffee, I sat by the window thinking:
Maybe I should go surfing today.
That day, I kept missing waves.
Again and again, I fell back into the water.
I couldn’t find the right rhythm, couldn’t fully control the board, and honestly, I was getting frustrated.
But somewhere in my mind, I kept telling myself:
I just need one good wave.
So I waited.
And then finally, it came.
I paddled hard, pushed myself up, and suddenly everything aligned perfectly.
The water.
My breathing.
My body.
For a few seconds, nothing else existed except that feeling.
And strangely, all the failed attempts before it no longer mattered.
Because in that moment, I felt completely connected to myself.
On the way home, I kept thinking about that feeling.
Could something like this exist outside the ocean too?
Could a product recreate that same sense of flow, presence, and connection with your own body?
That question eventually became Fluxette Wave 1.0.
1. The ocean changes the way you feel your body
There’s something different about being in the ocean.
In the water, your attention naturally returns to your body.
Every wave, every movement of the current, every breath — you become aware of things you usually ignore in everyday life.
You notice your balance.
Your tension.
Your breathing.
Your rhythm.
The ocean has a way of quieting everything else down.
And when that happens, you start reconnecting with yourself again.
Maybe that’s why surfing feels so calming, even when the waves are rough.
2. Surfing taught us rhythm
I still remember my first surfing lesson.
I wanted so badly to stand up immediately that I kept rushing every wave.
But my coach looked at me and said:
“Slow down. Not every wave is meant for you.”
At the time, I didn’t fully understand what he meant.
But eventually, I stopped forcing it.
I started waiting more carefully.
Feeling the water instead of fighting it.
Listening instead of controlling.
And that’s when I finally caught the wave.
Surfing taught me something simple:
Flow only happens when you stop trying to control everything.
You find your rhythm when you learn how to move with it.
3. We wanted to recreate that feeling
That feeling stayed with me long after I left the beach.
The calm.
The focus.
The feeling of fully returning to yourself.
And I realized something:
That was the exact feeling I had been searching for all along.
Not pressure.
Not performance.
Just softness, stillness, and connection.
That’s why our first product became Fluxette Wave 1.0.
We wanted to create something inspired by the feeling of surfing itself — something that helps you slow down, reconnect with your body, and find your own inner rhythm again.
Like finding your own wave.
4. Why the shape became a surfboard
Surfing has always represented freedom to me.
Freedom, movement, challenge, and flow.
And every surfer has a board that feels personal to them — longboards, shortboards, different shapes, different styles.
That idea became part of Fluxette Wave 1.0 too.
The flexible shape was designed to move naturally with different body curves, helping each person find the position that feels most comfortable for them.
We also drew inspiration from surfboard fin positioning, creating a three-point structure designed for precise yet fluid stimulation.
Natural, but powerful.
Just like the ocean itself.
5. Fluxette Wave 1.0 was never just a product
Maybe this all sounds a little abstract.
But this is truly what we wanted to express.
Fluxette Wave 1.0 was never only about pleasure.
It was about creating moments where people could reconnect with themselves — physically, emotionally, and mentally.
To slow down.
To feel more present.
To notice the beauty in small moments again.
Because maybe inner rhythm was never something we needed to search for.
Maybe it has always been there.
Waiting for us to become quiet enough to hear it again.
